A Chance to See My Work in Action
During my FP&A internship at California Coast Credit Union I was tasked with creating a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for a new $2.6M capital project. The goal was to paint a picture of the financial costs and benefits of opening a new branch. I collaborated with key departments and stakeholders to gather relevant assumptions to quantify the costs and benefits. This project was presented to key stakeholders and utilized for strategic financial planning.
In my Digital Marketing course, my team and I were tasked with choosing a product that is launching this year and create a complete Marketing Automation Path (MAP) and created ads and strategies for different personas through unique digital marketing initiatives.
In my Digital Marketing course, my team and I were tasked with creating a digital marketing strategy for a business. We identified problems with their current digital strategy, set goals, allocated the budget, and created real marketing initiatives tailored to relevant customer personas to nurture them through the marketing funnel. We used platforms such as SEMrush and Google Analytics to identify weaknesses and better target the personas.

“I had the pleasure of overseeing Brooke as a Summer Intern at California Coast Credit Union. Over the course of the program, it became clear that Brooke was a natural leader and a comfortable, effective public speaker. As part of the program, the Intern group formulated and presented a collaborative final project to the executive group, offering input and solutions on how the organization could effectively reach a wider demographic - namely Gen-Z/college-aged. Brooke took on the leadership role, handling the intro/outro of the presentation, and setting the tone/speed for the rest of the group. Additionally, Brooke received stellar feedback from her department leadership, as well as leadership outside of her home department with whom she shadowed and expressed interest in. Brooke showcased strong skills in both the financial planning and marketing areas, and formed strong relationships during her time here. I would strongly recommend Brooke's candidacy, she is very bright and possesses a strong sense of drive along with a can-do, problem solving mindset.”

“I had the pleasure of supervising Brooke Willier during her summer internship at California Coast Credit Union. Having managed interns and staff at various levels, I can confidently say that Brooke stands out as one of the most personable, adaptable, and resourceful individuals with whom I’ve worked.
From the outset, Brooke displayed a remarkable aptitude for financial analysis. She quickly grasped new concepts and applied them with precision to her assigned tasks. Brooke’s exceptional level of business acumen made a lasting impression, not only on myself, but on the entire finance team. Most notably, Brooke’s work developing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) estimate for one of our new branches, the Spectrum Innovation Branch, truly set her apart from her peers.
With minimal high-level instruction, Brooke was able to put together a comprehensive TCO overview of the direct and indirect costs and benefits associated with the opening of a new branch in the San Diego region. Brooke exhibited excellent interpersonal skills by collaborating effectively with senior managers across the organization. She proactively organized meetings with subject-matter experts to gain a thorough understanding of the project’s loan, deposit, and non-interest income/expense assumptions. Her ability to synthesize this information and present her findings in a clear and concise manner was truly impressive, showcasing her capacity to think strategically and see the bigger picture.
Brooke has proven to be an exceptional intern through her significant contributions to the finance team at California Coast. Her professionalism, organization, and ability to work independently were beyond my expectations. All members of the finance team agreed that Brooke was a valuable asset to our team, and I trust that you will find the same to be true.”
